มันคืออะไร O2 Simulator จริงๆ มันก็แปลตรงๆ ตามชื่อเลยครับ ปกติแล้ว เมื่อเวลาถอด Catalyst Converter ออกอาจจะทำให้เกิด Error แล้วทำให้ไฟรูปเครื่องโชว์ หรืออาจจะทำให้การอ่านค่าของ Sensor ผิดปกติได้ จากการที่เอา Catalyst Converter ออกนั้นเอง การใช้ O2 Simulator มันก็จะช่วยแก้ไขปัญหาสำหรับ Code - P0420 หรือ P0421 หรือ P0430 ซึ่ง Code ทั้งหมดมันหมายความว่ากล่องมันตรวจสอบว่า Sensor ตัวที่สองอ่านค่าได้ผิดปกติ ซึ่งกล่องอาจจะมองว่า Catalyst Converter เสียหรือว่ามีการถอดมันออกไป สำหรับรถบางรุ่น ดังนั้นการที่จะหลอกให้มันเข้าใจว่าเรายังมี Catalyst Converter อยู่ O2 Simulator ก็คือพระเอกของงานนี้ล่ะครับ

ในส่วนของการติดตั้งนั้นก็ง่ายมากครับ
- ต้องรู้ให้ได้ O2 Sensor ตัวที่สองนั้นมันอยู่ที่ตำแหน่งไหน ก็ลองดูตามภาพด้านล่างก็คงพอจะหาได้นะครับ


- เมื่อหาเจอแล้วก็ขันเอาตัว O2 Sensor ออก แล้วก็เอา O2 Simulator ใส่ไปแทนที่ จากนั้นก็เอา O2 Sensor ใส่ลงไปในตัว O2 Simulator แล้วก็ขันให้เรียบร้อย

- ต่อมาก็จัดการเรื่องการ Clear Code ให้เรียบร้อย หรือหากว่าไม่มีเครื่องมือ ง่ายสุดก็ถอดขั่วแบต ขั่วบวกออก ทิ้งไว้ประมาณ 5 นาทีแล้วก็ใส่กลับ เท่านี้ Code ก็น่ะจะหายไปล่ะครับ

Every one of my last few vehicles all have had oxygen sensor simulators. I typically remove the catalytic converters to improve my gas mileage and make more power. You can only install the simulators to replace the rear oxygen sensors. You cannot use 02 simulators in anyway for the front oxygen sensors as The ECU uses the sensors to adjust your engine's Air/Fuel ratio. Contrary to what some people might say the ECU only will throw a CEL for the rear 02 sensor if the voltage is to high or to low , if it dwell time between low and high is to long or short , and if the 02 heater circuit is open, too many amps or to little amps. I know this because I've hand built the 02 simulators used on my vehicles. It really isn't the rocket since that some people make it out to be. In the future you may say look up tables to check between the rear and front 02 sensor data but do you really think companies that will not even use bolts where they can get away with it are going to splurged on ECU memory and programming, I think not. You could also use mechanical method of just moving the 02 sensor out of the rich exhaust gas by using a spark plug anti fouler. They also work well but they will get plugged with carbon about once a year and you have to remove them and clean them with brake cleaner (a real pain). The best way would be to get a programmer and just have the ECU not look for rear 02 data. If you are not up to building one these guys sell them with the 02 heater circuit simulator, required in most cases.
